At Estey & Bomberger, we have many traditions, and charitable giving is part of the American tradition we follow. Charitable giving and volunteering is part of our culture at Estey & Bomberger. It is part of how we are able to give back to those in need.
We believe that contributions of money, office equipment products, volunteers, and time to community groups directly correlate with improvements in the San Diego community where our employees live and where we do business. If our assistance of local non-profits makes it easier for organizations that benefit those in need to do their work and accomplish their missions, then our law firm partnership is successful.
One of our most passionate charitable affiliations is with the Chadwick Center, the children’s advocacy center at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. The work the Chadwick Center does is amazing and so important, and we’re honored to be a partner.
Another strong and ongoing partnership is with the East Los Angeles Women’s Center, an organization that ensures women, girls and their families live free from abuse and violence.
As cyclists ourselves, we are one of the main supporters of Bikes 4 Kids Charity, a local grass-roots organization that gives bicycles to deserving children based on good behavior, good attendance and good grades, in National City, CA.
We donate all of our old office equipment as well as money to Father Joe’s Villages®. We believe strongly in their simple mission: to help people in need from all over America turn their lives around and regain independence. Each of Father Joe’s Villages® provides “one-stop shopping” – comprehensive, essential care all under one roof. Programs such as education, job training, child care, medical and dental care and substance abuse counseling enable thousands of families and individuals to discover the confidence and the ability to succeed. Honoring the dignity of every child and adult encourages him or her to invest in his or her own future.
We also support Voices For Children in San Diego. Each month 200 more abused children are removed from their homes in San Diego County and enter the foster care system. There are now over 7,500 children in foster care. Voices for Children, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, endeavors to ensure that abused, neglected and abandoned children who have become dependents of the San Diego County Court will have a safe and permanent home.
We also support the 60 mile Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk and spent time setting up tents for the walkers at the November 2009 3-Day Walk event at Crown Point in San Diego. Other charities we currently support or have supported along with our employees are the Red Cross, Bird Rock Elementary, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Challenged Athletes Foundation, Meals on Wheels, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA, and the Keenan’s Kids Foundation.
