Motorcyclist Killed in I-80 Crash in Richmond

CONTRA COSTA COUNTY – The Richmond Standard reported motorcyclist was very tragically killed Wednesday afternoon after being struck by at least one vehicle in a multi-vehicle collision involving a SUV and a big-rig. The collision was reported at 2:55 p.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 80 in Richmond east of Central Avenue. The impact of the collision caused the big-rig to overturn and the SUV sustained major damage. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
